The All Saints All Stars Cheerleading team is a new addition to the wealth of extra curricular activities on offer at All Saints’.
The “All Stars” team after school from 3.15- 4.15 in their all black outfits ready to chant, cheer and strut their funky stuff!
Cheerleading has become particularly popular after the success of the American Disney hit- “High School Musical”. All Saints are keen to take on board this modern, contemporary fusion of both Dance and Gymnastics to be at the cutting edge of new sports.
A good Cheerleading squad requires energy, spirit, confidence and enthusiasm. Most importantly Cheerleading is about “Team Spirit” and showing respect and support whilst performing. Cheerleading sessions are always rounded off with our chant…
“We are proud of you
Say we are proud of you (clap, clap)
Ooooooooh- Good job!”
“Cheerleading makes you feel great and is really fun!” Caitlin.
So far twenty children have had the opportunity to attend and we are awaiting our first opportunity to perform our fun and lively routines whilst of course shaking our pom poms!
The team are looking forward to our first outing together as spectators at the National Schools Championships held at Manchester Velodrome we aim to perform there in the near future! (There’s nothing like being ambitious!!!)
