SUSIE GABRIEL - As P.E. Co-ordinator, one of my responsibilities is to ensure we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities. These activities enable the children to develop a range of physical and leadership skills whilst giving them the tools to maximise their potential. Those who participate also receive a boost in their confidence, encourages a sense of fair play and team play and develops well-rounded, fit and healthy children. We are currently involved in the Stockport School Sports Programme which allows us to access funding from BLF (Big Lottery) to buy in coaches for after school hours learning. We make it a priority to offer clubs for every year group in the school. This year we have offered:
- Football
- Drama
- Homework / ICT Club
- Eco-team
- Netball
- Lacrosse
- Tennis
- Tag Rugby
- Multi Skills
- Salsa, Latin American and Ballroom Dancing
- Athletics
- Try-Golf
- Ballet
- Cheerleading
- Cricket
All the above activities are available to the children for free, we also have two sports clubs that the children can pay for which are run by private businesses.
