Welcome to our New Website!
I hope you find our website useful, informative and more importantly it gives you a flavour of All Saints: a vibrant, dynamic place to learn.
All Saints’ Church of England Primary School is over 100 years old and in a location of awe and wonder. Situated on the quiet residential Brickbridge Road school looks out over Marple and to the open hills of Mellor and the Peak District. Children at the school have access to wide open areas of both grass and hard standing. The school values it’s strong links with the local community and All Saints’ Church.
When I became the Head of All Saints’ in April 2006, the most striking and immediate impression was the community spirit and sense of belonging that all members of the learning community promote.
We value high academic achievement and we recognize that true education encompasses much more. We enable children to develop thinking skills and adhere to the principle that:
“In times of change the learners will inherit the earth, while the knowers will find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.” Eric Hoffer
We encourage the development of the whole child through providing a wide variety of opportunities and an environment where children are encouraged to develop life skills. We value every child as an individual and work hard with parents/guardians to develop confidence and self-esteem in all our children.
What OFSTED and Church Inspectors found:
‘No wonder the parents describe this school as, ‘a happy, positive place with well motivated staff and thriving pupils.’’ (OFTSED October 2007).
‘School gives children vibrant experiences that are likely to stay with them for the rest of their lives’. (OFSTED October 2007).
‘The children who attend our school talk positively about the care, guidance and support they receive’. (Church School Inspection November 2007).
Please contact me should you wish to know more about the school and enjoy our website.
(Don’t forget to listen to the podcasts and view the video clips that bring our school to life).
On behalf of all the staff,
Thank you for your interest in our school.
Mr. M. Harding
